CLEAN. HEALTHY. OCEANS.
That’s the goal right? We all want a clean healthy ocean filled with all the wonderful creatures we love. Now, not to seem like and absolute buzzkill but our oceans are at a critical point; with all the over fishing, harmful chemicals and garbage we are seeing a massive drop in fish populations, astonishingly low reef healths, and a shocking amount of plastic being metabolized into the fish we consume. So what does all this have to do with clothing? Well even though we are a small company with limited resources ABYSSOS is teaming up with local dive centers to set up volunteer quarterly clean up dives. The goal being to remind divers and communities that conservation of the ocean starts with individuals deciding to clean up after their fellow man. We’ve all seen trash floating around our favorite dive and fishing sites, it’s time to start taking action. With any luck and leading by example we may be able to start something big!
Like I said at the top ABYSSOS is not a large company, so we are currently only doing clean up dives in Washington state, however we hope to be able to support clean up operations all over the globe soon.
